Hi I'm Emma

Emma Shafqat preparing a talk

Since graduating with first-class honours in Dietetics and Nutrition, I have spent over nine years working as a Dietitian, specializing in children’s health. My experience spans the NHS, special needs schools, and private practice. Over the years, I have helped countless families tackle feeding challenges, particularly fussy eating, which is now my primary focus.

But my journey isn’t just professional—it’s personal too. My daughter Olivia, now 8, is living proof of the transformation possible with the right strategies and support. Olivia suffered from severe reflux as a baby, multiple food allergies, and extreme pickiness, and I spent years feeling the frustration and despair that so many parents face.Today, she eats a good variety of foods, but it was a long road to get there.

In my private practice, I combine my professional expertise as a Paediatric Dietitian with my specialized training as a SOS Paediatric Feeding Therapist to offer compassionate, evidence-based solutions for families. I understand firsthand the practical challenges of implementing dietary advice because I’ve lived them myself.

I’m also proud to collaborate with brands like Just Chill Baby Sleep and serve as a parenting expert for Bloss. My advice has been featured in publications like The Telegraph, The Sun, Mirror, and Metro and shared on numerous top parenting podcasts.

Whether it’s managing dietary needs, overcoming food aversions, or navigating fussy eating, I bring both my professional knowledge and personal experience to every family I work with.

Hi I'm Teresa

Teresa Foley

I qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2008. I have worked with babies and children for all of my career.

I have been fortunate to develop a high level of specialism as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist, working in both Ireland and Australia.

In this time, I have worked in Autism services, Neurodisability and Early Intervention. While living in Australia, I worked as a Clinical Specialist in Paediatric Brain Injury at the Sydney Childrens Hospital.

My work is always neuro-affirmative and focused on the strengths of the child. I believe the parent is the expert of the child and relationships are the foundation of all work in therapy.

I am a mum to 3 little ones, 2 boys and a girl. I know first-hand what a life-changing experience parenthood is; but how challenging and anxiety-provoking it can be at times. We want these magical little people to experience all that life can offer. When circumstances, illness or diagnoses threaten this, it can be a lonely and scary place to be. I am passionate about helping children and their families reach their full potential, in a child-centred and inclusive way.

I worked as a National Specialist feeding therapist for years. I worked with a team to establish therapy services for children with Avoidant & Restricive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID). I am also a Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

I am also trained in Sensory Integration, Autism diagnosis (ADOS training), Attention Autism and Autism intervention (Floortime/DIR model).

I am a guest lecturer in Occupational Therapy for children at Trinity College Dublin and University College Dublin. I have published articles on baby development or www.everymum.ie and work as an expert judge for the National Parenting Product Awards.

What Makes This Programme Different?

Many programmes only focus on nutrition, or they offer a one-size-fits-all approach. Our approach is different because it’s tailored to your child’s unique needs, with combined expertise from both a Dietitian and an Occupational Therapist.

This holistic approach tackles not only what your child eats, but also why they may resist certain foods.

What’s Not Included?

This is not a quick fix, and it’s not about forcing your child to eat. Instead, it’s about building a positive, lasting relationship with food. We know that even in the most challenging of situations, change is always possible. We can help you achieve this.

“My daughter is a selective eater and had started to cut out more foods, leading me to worry she wasn’t getting enough nutrition in her diet. Emma was completely reassuring and non-judgemental about choices and habits we had fallen into over time. Everything Emma suggested felt practical and possible and I left the call feeling I now had options to deal with the issues in a positive way. It is such a joy to see my daughter now interested in and enjoying new foods. Thanks so much Emma, I am so glad I reached out to you.”
